The waistband is supportive and the wide top of the pouch offers more coverage than most jocks. However based on the size chart and the design, on me the pouch gaps at the top of my thighs unless I pull the waistband up higher than is comfortable. The pouch material is super smooth and satiny. D enjoy wearing these, but wished they fit me a bit more snug.

An extremely well made quality product. I was hesitant to order this ShockDoc#226 as the ShockDoc#218 with a cup pouch has a very tight waist band. I am glad to report that this jock's waist band is perfectly sized and is about 2cm larger than the #218 cup pocket version. The medium fits my 32" waist perfectly. The pouch is not overly bulky, but is wider too than most jocks. The pouch material is very soft, wicks moisture well and seems durable. All round, a very comfortable, functional, attractive high quality jock. My only minor gripe is I wish the butt straps were a full inch wide, and not 3/4".
